The restaurant has a nice size lounge where most guests, even with a reservation, have to wait a minimum of 15 minutes to be seated. The restaurant is very beautiful...with a huge Buddha positioned in the middle.
Furthermore, I would say the upstairs dining area is a little more intimate than the first level dining room...however..this is more of a trendy restaurant than a romantic dinner spot. I would definitely recommend Tao to a group of friends or couple looking to have dinner and then visit Tao Beach next door. FYI: Restaurant reservations do not guarantee entry into Tao Beach, however, your server might be able to obtain VIP passes for the club following dinner!
